At Amigos Medicos, we believe in volunteering beyond the borders of Detroit. We offer two trips for first and second year members: One to Hilton Head, South Carolina; and one to Cuernavaca, Mexico. Our trip coordinator is Veronica Miles.

Hilton Head, South Carolina

The Hilton Head trip takes place during the spring breaks for MSI and MSII, with 5 students on each trip. The trip is relatively inexpensive, costing between $600 to $700 on average.

In Spring 2010, the first-year students who travelled there were Lindsay Richmond, Veronica Miles, Emily Nagler, Sharon Im and Pratik Patel. Emily and Pratik both kept travel diaries for the trip, which can be read here:
